On 14 May, the ISC visited CREA’s Sericulture Laboratory in Padua. The visiting delegation comprised 15 representatives, whose names and institutional addresses are listed below.
The duration of the visit was approximately three hours. The programme of the visit is reported below.
The debate was characterised by a positive atmosphere. Delegates were invited to the Bacsa conference in Georgia in November 2025 by Ms. Silvia Cappellozza, while Mr. Dileep Kumar Rama Krishna Pillai extended an invitation to all those present for the subsequent ISC conference in 2026. Mr Zonta (D’orica) invited the delegates to participate to the inaugural ceremony of the Palladian villa, at which the small D’orica’s silk reeling machine is to be installed in September. The general consensus that emerged from this discussion was the determination to enhance collaboration, with a view to establishing a tangible connection between the European Silk Route and the Asian Silk Route.
The following report documents the most vivid moments of the visit through a series of photographs.
