On the occasion of last year’s celebration of International Museum Day (18/5) with the theme “Museums, Education and Research”, the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) organized the educational activity “Aracne project” at the Silk Museum in Soufli.
As part of the ARACNE research project, which focused on the cultural heritage of European silk production and its conservation, protection, and exploitation, school students in the area had previously studied cocoon houses, life in Soufli (past and present), and sericulture. On Thursday, May 16, 2024 (at 10:00 a.m.), the students of the Soufli High School and Junior High School presented their research and work.
