IMIDA Presentation of “Recuperando el Patrimonio Cultural de la Seda” (Recovering the Cultural Heritage of Silk)

On November 8th-10th 2024, the VIII History and Heritage meeting of Bullas took place in this town of Murcia (Spain), where the Sericulture Station of Murcia had a seat as a breeding and seeding station.

In this context, Marta Sánchez Alcaraz, in representation of IMIDA, perfomed on November 8th a presentation intitled »Recuperando el Patrimonio Cultural de la Seda« (Recovering the Cultural Heritage of Silk).

The presentation included information about ARACNE project, the main objectives and the work carried out, focused more specifically on the activities involved in recovering the knowledge and functions of the breeding and seeding station in Bullas, as well as the digitalization of the old plans of the construction project of the facilities, which are currently known to the public as they are a tourist-recreational space and camping area in this town.

This event was thought to bring the cultural and historical heritage of the town closer to the public and this presentation recalled and showed the part of that heritage that sericulture represents.

We invite you to take a look at the photos and at the brochure of the event.
