Building the Council of Europe-certified Silk Route

The “new silk triangle”: Cortale, San Floro, Girifalco

Some of the partners of the Aracne project, including representatives from Italy, Slovenia and Greece, will participate in a Living Lab organised by CREA’s Centre for Bioeconomics under the LEADER programme.

The Aracne lead partner from the CREA Centre for Agriculture and Environment and their colleagues at the Centre for Bioeconomy are creating synergies to involve Italian and foreign Local Action Groups in establishing a network. This could result in a European Silk Route of the Council of Europe being presented to the certifying body. This collaboration has proven to be highly productive, prompting the decision to organise an initial ‘study visit’ to the LAG area of Serre Calabresi. The large number of Italian and foreign participants demonstrates the interest of European LAGs and their stakeholders in this topic.
