On Sunday 21 September, a festival was held at a school complex in Padua to mark the start of the new school year. The complex comprises nine primary and secondary schools. Around 300 children and their parents attended the event.
At the CREA silkworm rearing workshop, visitors could see live insects and take part in workshops on making cute little animals with colourful silkworm cocoons. The thread-reeling workshop was also very popular, where children could watch a skein being formed from a cocoon.
Schoolchildren and their parents were informed about the opportunity to obtain the educational kit as part of the Aracne project, and some of the teachers in attendance also received useful information
