ARACNE Project was presented at the 62nd AGRA International Agriculture and Food Fair

The 62nd AGRA International Agriculture and Food Fair took place in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia, from August 24th to 29th, continuing its legacy as the largest and most significant agricultural and food fair in this part of Europe. With over 1,700 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, the fair featured cutting-edge technologies, innovative digital solutions, the latest agricultural and forestry machinery, and leading global brands. In addition, attendees explored excellent and quality crops, food products, wines, and complementary farm activities. Expert meetings addressed key topics such as organic, conservation, and regenerative agriculture, new digital tools in agriculture and forestry, smart and precision farming, and risk management in the face of climate change.

The Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences (University of Maribor) participated in the event, showcasing its current research activities and study programs. As part of the faculty’s dissemination efforts, the Aracne project was presented through a small exhibition featuring silk fabric patterns developed by students from the High School of Design Maribor and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (University of Maribor). Additionally, the scientific contributions of the mulberry research group from the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences were highlighted. In the exhibition garden, visitors could admire field crops, herbal plants, vine and fruit tree cultivars, along with a mulberry tree planted specifically for the fair’s agricultural landscaping exhibition.
